LONG TERM GOAL

SICKKIDS VS LIMITS CAMPAIGN

SickKids has always led. It’s always been on the front lines in the fight for children’s health. But today, its biggest battle is against limits. The limits of an old building, the limits on generating new knowledge and translating it to treatment, the limits on delivering seamless health care to every child. Breakfast of Champions is proud to hold rank as a Catalyst Donor in the new SickKids fundraising campaign, SickKids VS Limits, and is committed to investing in the future and bringing discovery to the bedside.

2019 CAUSE

NICU

SickKids’ neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) provides advanced care for hundreds of critically ill newborns every year. These tiny patients need highly specialized care. They’re extremely susceptible to infections, sensitive to noise, and many subsist on breathing machines.

The 36-bed NICU is regularly at or over-capacity. The antiquated ward-style rooms are crowded, noisy, and cannot easily accommodate the newest technologies, infection-control standards, or the one thing newborns need most: their parents.

Your support will help drastically increase the unit by 21 beds, creating a state-of-the-art NICU with enough space for families, staff and critical technology.
